ABOUT PETE

Undeniably cool, with an eye for detail like no other, at just 28, Pete Burkill has already shaken the industry and taken the editorial world by storm with his unique vision and eclectic style.

Shoots with Hunger TV, Marie Claire, Elle, The Times, Evening Standard, Dazed and The Week have called Pete out of his previous habitat at the HOB Academy in Camden, and after 5 years of Award Winning Education, he now joins the Josh Wood Atelier, where he will be situated part time, allowing him to focus on editorial work.

Having been quickly recognised for his work behind the scenes styling stars such as, Stella Maxwell for Max Factor and Wallis Day and Lily Allen. Pete’s reputation has spread rapidly throughout the industry.  Bringing quality hair to the leading fashion pages and blogs whilst delivering trends ahead of the catwalk.

Not only a star behind the scenes, Pete takes on screen opportunities in his stride. During a 3 year stint in New Zealand, he was quickly snapped up to become the hairdressing expert on TVNZ’s ‘Good Morning’ show appearing throughout 2011. His infectious personality and natural camera presence was warmly received by the TVNZ audience, making him New Zealand’s most respected TV Stylist by both those who watched and those who worked alongside him.

Confident in his approach, expert in his technique and leader in his vision, Pete is the latest Stylist to keep on your radar, ‘I am so ready to be committing to this new world and thanks to my educational background I can always ensure the hair is of the highest quality regardless whether it’s an editorial shoot, a TV slot or a show/seminar. I am delighted to be joining the Josh Wood Atelier part time and know this is the perfect environment to grow and prosper alongside my freelance work’, Says Pete.
